Nuclear power – Italy's route to cheaper electricity?

Italy has cleared the way for nuclear to re-enter its power mix in the next decade. Such a move could push wholesale electricity prices down over the long term by displacing costly gas as the price-setting fuel, and even bring them in line with France's. But with the first reactor unlikely to come online before 2035, how realistic is this promise?
