Iran war worsens Germany’s gas refilling challenge

The US-Israeli war on Iran has come at a bad time for Europe. The continent exited last winter with heavily depleted gas stocks. With the closure of the Strait of Hormuz, the global LNG market has lost access to around a fifth of its supply. That has compounded the difficulty of refilling gas storage in Europe.
