Ireland’s ambitions to become a tech hub saw a surge in data centres, mostly clustered around Dublin. Ireland has said it will not allow new facilities in or around Dublin until at least 2028, as it is concerned about supply security. Ireland has limited data centers around Dublin, citing concerns about power shortages, despite its ambitions to become a tech hub. It’s a reminder that growth without resource control can lead to congestion—like geometry arrow, where the faster you rush without calculating the angle, the more likely you are to hit a wall.
