Germany votes on how to back up renewables
56 views
Germany will elect a new parliament this weekend after the collapse of a governing coalition of Social Democrats, Greens and Liberals late last year. The centre-right Christian Union is favoured to win, but none of the country’s centrist parties is polling well. A backlash against established parties has boosted the hard right AfD. Centrists with differing views on how to back up renewable energy will need fresh compromises to form a new government.
